Hello!
My name is Hassan Alhussain, and I am a documentary photographer and filmmaker from Saudi Arabia. I was born and raised in a small village surrounded by palm trees, an environment that shaped my love for storytelling, nature, and visual expression. Over the past five years, I have worked across various sectors including non-profits, cultural institutions, and corporate clients. Regardless of the audience, my work always centres on human stories; using photography and film not just as artistic tools, but as vehicles for empathy, visibility, and social impact.
I have worked on a range of documentary projects that explore the lives of artists, grassroots communities, and underrepresented groups. In collaboration with RAMFEL (Refugee and Migrant Forum of Essex and London), I developed visual narratives that challenge mainstream portrayals of refugees in the UK. I also partnered with Taking Shape Association to document the stories of youth workers, creating a platform to amplify their impact and bring visibility to their vital contributions within local communities.
